Mise en scene

mise-en-scene is the what is appears infront of the camera that is in frame like set, costume and props ect. and the way they are arranged eg position and lighting.

Analysing Mise-en-scene in stills from Hebburn

Image 1
the woman in the scene looks a bit tarty. this is suggested by the red lipstick dark eyeliner and black dress, it is also suggested by the jewellery she is wearing (dangling ear rings)

Image 2
the way they have the photo suggests they are a happy family, also the way the house is presented is that its is a middle class home with a possible hint of higher class, the family is also presented as normal and well presented.also shows grandma is in wheelchair which suggest a large portrayl of disablilty.
